Holland House, built in 1877 filled w/ character and charm located on the square
A building filled with character and charm built in 1877, one of only a few that survived the hurricane of the 1900's. The unique twist of the building is what we fondly refer to as "character". Shops are within walking distance or just minutes drive from eating establishments. The 2 bedrooms share a Hollywood bath (each bedroom has it's own vanity and toilet but share a claw foot tub/shower enclosure). The first bedroom has a queen and a twin. The second, has 2 full size beds. In addition, there's a hall half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with the basics for meal preparation along with breakfast cereal, coffee and tea. Washer and dryer available for guest use. Minimal parking in the rear or free street parking in the front. No parking or blocking of the side or back alley. We love this home and the cute town square! We have stayed here 3 times and it is always super clean and comfortable. Great location for Roundtop shopping.
My husband works for Austin County State Bank and we traveled to Bellville for meetings - your property was perfect! The location, the house, everything was spot on!We will be back!
Th Holland House was an amazing stay hands down. The cute house was everything I needed during my stay in Bellville, and included any needed items I could have asked for.
We had such a great time! . Donna has created the perfect comfortable, classy spot. We stayed here for two nights and drove to Round Top. We ate next door at 22 North Holland. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will be back for sure!
This is our 3rd time to gather here from different parts of Texas. Perfect location. Shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Love this unique house.
I loved this house and the location. Communication was wonderful as well. Donna treats her guests like gold; I felt so spoiled by all the personal touches.
We had a group of ladies stay for the weekend during one of Bellville's market day weekends. This was our second time to stay here, and we will definitely come back again. The house is amazing and very comfortable, the host is warm and helpful, and the location is perfect. Highly recommend!
The property was comfortable and has more than enough room for sleeping and relaxing. The living/dining/kitchen is huge. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/utensils/pots, and pans. Loved the large island and the claw foot tub/shower. We arrived on the coldest day of the year and there are plenty of extra blankets for the beds.
We loved our stay! The place was just like the pictures and super clean, with thoughtful touches. There’s 2.5 bathrooms, which was a game changer when sharing the place with friends. You have the entire place to yourself and it’s got so much historic charm. We were able to walk easily to get breakfast and coffee downtown in the morning. Donna was a great communicator.
Clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, the beds were all comfortable with the exception of the master which was creaky. All of the other beds, linens were soft and comfortable. I would highly recommend. Easy to get in and out with plenty of parking. Easy walk to the square and around Bellville! Will stay again!!!
Holland House was the perfect setting for a wonderful time with my daughters and granddaughter. The location was ideal for shopping and dining on the square. We could just step outside and walk. Bellville has terrific shops and restaurants, but isn’t overrun with other tourists, so we were never bothered by noise. Also, we loved sitting in the back courtyard listening to the birds and watching the cat. There was also a park nearby for my five year old granddaughter. The house itself is charming and comfortable. I really enjoyed the big bathtub! We would definitely stay here again!
Bellville is so charming, and the Holland House is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the town. When we drove up, we couldn't believe the location - right on the town square. We were able to park on the street just outside the door. Are breath was taken away at how cute the Holland House is - and how authentic! It exudes old time charm while being up to date with all the amenities you could ask for. The decor is farmhouse style and is so tasteful. There are 4 beds and 3 bathrooms, so the four of us were very comfortable. The huge island in the kitchen was our gathering place. You literally walk out your front door to the town square full of restaurants and shops. We were in Bellville on Market Days, and on the 175th anniversary of the town so there was a lot of activity in the square. Couple your visit with a trip to nearby Brenham which also has a beautiful town square full of shops and restaurants. There are many other towns close by such as Round Top, which makes the Holland House a great "home base" for antiquing in the area. The owner was very receptive with entry codes. Definitely a 5 star rental.
Such a great place to stay, eat, shop, visit museums. The location is perfect for all these things. The home itself is so charming and comfortable, nicely decorated and has everything you could need. Our host, Donna was very accommodating to our wishes and needs. I will definitely book this home again when in the area.
The host was most welcoming and the house was very clean. We loved being next door to the Farm-to-Table restaurant. We had what we needed, along with extra blankets and local menus. The patio is super cute, too.
Location right on town square..restaurants, shops etc ..house meticulous with all amenities..large and comfy. Private courtyard…an enjoyable, pleasant stay.
