What a fabulous place. If you enjoy bargain hunting, be sure to visit the Dosher Hospital Thrift Store. The small fishing pier is fun and the park area has a lot of porch-type swings. Great view. Don't miss riding through the homes along the waterfront area. They are beautiful. Riding the ferry from Fort Fischer is a great way to avoid the traffic. We love this whole area.
The Southport Visitor's Center and the Marine Museum were great places to visit on a rainy day
