Cheap and comfortable

Property is a little dilapidated, and I found the owners difficult to contact (no check-in desk on site and key-code had not arrived when I got to the site). But it is cheap and comfortable, so you get what you pay for.

Room needs some ventilation, there was odour smell. Otherwise the room was quite big enough. Toilet was nice and clean but the shower needs repaired otherwise water was hot enough. Check-in was easy. Parking was available at front. The WiFi was not working at all you have very low internet connection in building. After correction of these issues it was not bad at this price.

Now I appreciate it was a single room whilst I was working away but the toilets had no hand wash at all across my floor. Shower was dirty and the wifi did not work. Documents in my room for the wifi were for a router that would not appear. All QR codes to join the wifi did not work. Bed was comfortable and facilities in room were ok.

A one night stay before a cruise. Property clean, bed comfy, but very basic as was the cost. As Southampton was very busy that weekend all hotels fully booked and at double the normal cost the guest house was a last resort. Should this happen again i would stay there again. No food fatalities on site but had good meal 15 mins walk away.

My stays here are always good if there is ever an issue Damian and mark and team will always try to help tea/coffee facilities supplied and even a shared kitchen with washing facilities rooms was clean.

We like the Pebbles guest house.We have stayed twice now.Very good value for money.Just one thing is the code on the front door we found it hard to open luckily someone else that stayed there helped to open the door so all was good in the end.

No one at reception to greet, nor email to tell us what room we were staying in. Unusable rickety furniture, no TV, lumpy bed. 2 person stay-only one mug in the room for coffees and only 2 tiny miniature bottles of shower gel which doesn't go far enough. Nice quiet location though.

Pleasant stay with a few bits to fix

Didn't look the best from the outside but inside is well taken care of, very clean and smelled clean too. Front door was broken and couldn't open from the outside which wasn't great, and the side door was never locked. That said, we had a pleasant stay with plenty of space, our own clean bathroom, kettle and supplies, TV, towels and good WiFi. The kitchen downstairs had items available for guests to use, as well as washing machines and a guest fridge for storage. The fan in the bathroom made a strange noise, one of the beds was very lumpy and the door lock was a bit fidgety but a pleasant stay as somewhere just to put your head down. No staff onsite and couldn't connect to the company on the phone, which maybe needs looking at. Parking available out front or on the street, 10 mins to town and 20 mins to Paultons Park. Would come back.
