4/10 Poor

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. It feels more like a bedsit or HMO than proper guest accommodation. The rooms smell strongly of mould and damp, and there was no kettle or TV provided. The only positive was the free parking, but overall the stay was quite terrible.
