It’s very close to popular shopping centres, great local restaurants, and the subway/bus stations. The family who run the ryokan are amazing and are so attentive to my needs. This place truly did make my Kyoto trip so special! I will definitely be coming back next time :)"

"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). The meals lived up to the reviews, beautifully presented true kaiseki."

"Great central location to the Old Town in Gion and walkable to plenty of nearby temples. Also close to a train station for easy access to everything else. Staff is very kind and accommodating and gave us small gifts on our way out!"
