「It was a good hotel, we were visiting family in the area so was a nice base. We had stayed at other nearby hotels so wanted to try this one. It was okay for one night, we booked in for dinner. The menu is extremely limited for dietary requirements, with things listed as vegetarian that weren't and food didn't match description. We didn't book breakfast, again as similar wanted a much refresher breakfast rathan than a fry up. Gave 4 stars as was a lovely bed, very comfortable! The bathroom...

「Back off beyond down narrow winding lanes unlit at night so not for the timid driver. As we took our grandchildren 4 & 6 yrs old with us the 4 bedded Wild Goose Nest was ideal, clean albeit the floor was flag so with the best will in the world not grit free and not the best for walking on bare footed.」

「A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

「Huge room with everything I would need for an overnight stay. Plenty of tea, coffee, and toiletries. Room was spotlessly clean and I had a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. As a lone traveller, I was made to feel really welcome and would definitely return.」
