The 1840's Goat House

"Overall a great stay! It's a very cute property! We stayed with some of our bridesmaids and groomsmen for our wedding weekend. The goats were very friendly, house was clean and comfortable, and host was responsive. We were confused and thought the whole backyard was the goat pen, because those sneaky goats got out of their pen and were wandering in the bigger fenced area eating the flowers! The host responded promptly to let us know it was the backyard and we could enjoy the space. They said they would come to check on the goats later that day, but they ended up not needing to because the goats had their fill and walked themselves back into their pen! Only had a couple downsides--a closet door fell off, and we were glad we didn't have a full 14 guests because it would've been hard to fit 14 adults. The couch listed in the main bedroom could really only be a sleeping space for a toddler."

"Overall really nice. It was clean and had extra towels/blankets and adequate kitchen. Plenty of space. Wifi was fine. It had fair AC and water. The washer dryer worked and she even left us enough soap for a few loads. The neighborhood was nice and we even went on a walk around to walk my dog. Would absolutely book again. Its about 1.5 hours to get to Chicago for a visit depending on the area. It also has some nice restraunts in the nearby towns. We also had a change of plans and she worked with us to book an extra day when it was possible."
