"Room was ok but needed a hoover. Not been done for a few days. Towels and bedding were clean. Breakfast was included in price, but failed to mention not a hot meal. Cereals, yogurt and toast only. Cooked breakfast was extra. No mention of this when booking. Staff were pleasant. Room with balcony had very good views. No venue parking, just in the public car park across the way. Overall 3/5. "

"Hotel had recently had an uplift all area's felt clean and modern. Good clean, spacious room, comfortable bed. Unfortunately swimming pool was out of order which was a disappointment, as,it was something we had looked forward to enjoying. Staff helpful and pleasant, good parking."

St. Mary's church, Seven Sisters The village of Seven Sisters had always been recognised historically for its coal mining pit that was located in the middle of what was once one of the richest sources of coal in Britain, if not the world in the heart of the South Wales Coalfield. The sinking of the pit began when Miss Isobella Bevan, one of seven daughters of local coal-owner Evan Evans-Bevan cut the first sod of the colliery on Monday, March 11 1872, leading to its completion in 1875. Initially, Evans-Bevan had wanted to name the pit after his first daughter, Isobella, but reconsidered and named it after all his seven daughters, hence the name of Seven Sisters Colliery. In turn as the community grew around the colliery, it also adopted its name, Seven Sisters village. At its peak in 1945 the colliery employed over 759 men from the surrounding area. However, during the 1950s geological problems and changing economic conditions took their toll on the colliery and in 1963 the pit closed. The men who had been employed at the Seven Sisters were transferred to the nearby Blaenant Colliery, which closed in 1990. After the closure of the Seven Sisters Colliery in 1963 the site was demolished and filled in. Today the site is home to playing fields but the history of what existed in the village still remains, with the pit head winding gear sunk in the ground next to the site of the old colliery. "Beautiful hotel in the heart of Swansea. Good choice of breakfast including a welsh breakfast, didnt try this time but will try on next visit. Great sized bedroom. With a choice of bath and shower. Great Molton brown products for bath and shower. Brilliant reception staff who came up to room to check my room key worked."

"My daughter and I spent four nights there in August. Really good selection of food for breakfast. Lovely good sized room. I was pleased to see the soap dispensers in the bathroom which I prefer to the little bottles left in some hotels which are never enough. Our room was only a few doors away from the main rooms where wedding receptions and parties were held every day. Amazingly we couldnt hear it in our room. I loved the location of the hotel. It is just a short walk from the town centre and the railway station which meant we didnt need to use the car. Also its only a short drive to Aberavon beach which is such a beautiful clean sandy beach. Great for families with young kids as it is not as well known as Gower or the Mumbles, but has everything a child could wish for."

"From the time we stepped into the hotel the receptionist was so helpful and accommodating to the fact we were 3 hrs early . The bar is very relaxing and spacious the staff couldn’t do enough for you . We had an evening meal which was spectacular. And breakfast what a menu beautiful. The staff and accommodations is amazing "
