My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. The room was lovely and very warm and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and very generous. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant one evening. Staff were all brilliant and extremely helpful. The swimming pool and hot tub were really nice, especially after a long hike. We felt it was extremely good value. Many thanks!

The bathroom The bath had a big chuck out of it and the shower attached to the bath taps was very loose the carpet was wet where the radiator was leaking and at dinner meal my steak was very fatty .

Excellent for the price. Full breakfast included. Pool and hot tub included. Free parking. It was very clean but a little worn around the edges and closer to the road than I would have thought but overall I'd definitely come back. Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Area is exceptionally beautiful. We liked the small town of Llandovery if you're looking for a cute place to eat. Staff was lovely. Bar and restaurant on site.

Our dinner at this hotel was very disappointing, and the room was tired and dirty. We wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel and restaurant had received high ratings on Expedia and Trip Advisor, but both were a big letdown. We stayed with our one-year-old and initially had a family room, but we opted for a quieter room at the back. The staff were friendly and helpful, but that was where the positives ended. The room was basic and had questionable marks all over it. There were brown stains on the ironing board that wiped clean, but there were also marks on the curtains, lampshade, walls, and ceiling. The en-suite bathroom looked like it had been repaired by an amateur, with plaster and grout marks that were very visible. The sofa looked tired and dirty, and there were numerous dead spiders that hadn’t been cleaned or removed. Thankfully, the bedding was fresh and clean. The restaurant and dinner were also below average. Wetherspoons would have been a better quality and value option. The total cost for two mains and one side was £56, which would be reasonable if the meals had been of a decent standard. The full lemon sole cost £30 and was small. It came with a grilled half lemon and spicy butter, but the butter wasn’t evenly spread on the fish. The side serving of veg was overpriced at £4.50 and consisted of two stale asparagus stalks, two slices of courgette, and the rest of hard carrot batons. Lovely place, ideal location for us with various walkable places and very scenic. Bistro restaurant was excellent with great food choices. Comfortable room and clean!

Property was spotlessly clean, great sized room, back of the property which was a necessity due to proximity of main road. Very pleasant gardens. Bar staff were very cheerful and helpful. Evening food was disappointing for the price point.

So took the wife away for a romantic weekend in an executive suite with Balcony. The room was in need of a little TLC. Cracked tiles and broken shower door which had been replaced with a shower curtain. There was a lack of bins in the suite with just one small one in the living area and none in the bedroom or bathroom. When we used the shower on Sunday morning we were unable to turn the temperature down. We reported it and the plumber arrived at around 10.00 just as we were going out for the day, when we arrived back at 5.00 to be told that the plumber had broken it and the water to the room had been turned off. We could stay and have a free meal but would have no working toilet etc. We obviously declined this and they did give a refund. At no point during the day did they bother to contact us to warn us. We ended up having a 3 hr drive home. With our first weekend away in tatters. Very poor customer service and no mention of compensation they even charged got the meal on Saturday. The food is good. Won’t be back or recommend it to anyone.

The value for money at this property is incredible - staff friendly, breakfast delicious and generous, rooms spacious, free access to gym and spa facilities, and an onsite restaurant and pub mean its very handy for food. I would definitely come back. However, the property is a bit run down, and the reception desk was abandoned most of the time - just go around to the pub and they'll help. Still exceptionally good value, and recommended.

Whilst the room we stayed in could have done with some TLC, the staff were great. The pool was a good but thought the jacuzzi might have been a little hotter. The food was great with a nice selection of both food and drinks.

Another lovely stay at the hotel, always welcoming and enjoyable to stay here. Only negative was our room was not ready as promised at 3pm, or at 4pm when next promised. Other than the waiting around, no issues.

I stayed in room 11 which was a lovely big room. It was next to the extraction fan of the kitchen which was noisy. It did not affect my sleep as it was turned off at around 9:30 ish when the kitchen was closed.

This is my 2nd stay atbthe hotel as Its great location for Bike Park Wales, which is about 10/15 minute drive. Overall good stay. It has been very hot 30 for the two days i was staying the hotel does not provide fans, and its advisable not to open windows due to being so close to a stream and there being loads of little flys. Staff have been great extremely accomadating and went above. The bike store didnt have enough space for both my bikes, so one the first noght they let me keep it else where and when i got back on the 2nd day, the bike store was cleared out. Good breakfast. Mint for tea.

A good stay, could have been better

Location: Great location for exploring the peaks, which was what we travelled for. 5 mins drive from the start of the main routes for hiking. Lots of parking at the hotel. Room: Was nice to have a separate living and sleeping space, bathroom was large with shower and bath. Furniture and decoration was a little dated/worn in places. Despite there being radiators, the staff were unable to get the heating working in our room which was disappointing, as we had requested this (multiple times) after a long day of hiking in pouring rain and high winds. Spa/gym: Jacuzzi was pretty cold and the steam room was only working intermittently. Sauna was small but good. The gym is small, but fine for a little workout. Food: Breakfast was delicious, cooked and continental options. We also had dinner there which was also delicious, steaks cooked beautifully. Good portion sizes. Service was great in the restaurant.

A Gem of Place

We were delighted with Nant Ddu. Hotel. Our room needed a little TLC, but the overall surroundings made up for any shortfalls. The pool andsurrounding areas we very clean and swimming was a joy. Breakfast too, was excellent. We had a delicious evening meal, but it was pricey. We really recommend Nant Ddu and hope to return one day.
