I’m sure it was the rooms location, next to stairs and elevators and being on the first floor. The airplanes could also definitely be heard! "Everything was fine with the exception of household staff. My roommate left her purse in the room when we checked out. We were sitting in the lobby until 7:30 that evening until out flight out. When they cleaned our room they found her purse & turned it in to the desk. No one called us to report it. We didn't discover the missing purse until she needed her passport at the airport. She was going frantic trying to find where her purse was. The next afternoon, she finally got a call back from the office. Why couldn't someone call me to notify me they had the purse? We spent hours in the lobby then frantically called from the east coast looking for the purse (hotel, taxi, bar). Why didn't they just call me? They had my number."
