Beautiful old historic home on Jones St, which many consider one of the nicest/most beautiful streets in Savannah - it lives up tot the hype with brick roads and oak trees with Spanish moss overhanging and shading the street.
House itself is beautiful and has great character - charming and with beautiful old floors and doors. Its location is unmatched being only a 10-15 minute walk to some of the more commercial areas of Savannah's historic district, but then being far away enough that its quiet and calm by where you stay. Beautiful courtyard in the back, with so many great sitting areas outdoors and inside the home.
Only negatives are: some of the appliances are a bit old so a couple burners didn't work, and the dishwasher left a bad smell when opened - feels like it needs to be cleaned or updated. Everything else in the house was clean when arriving.
Not necessarily a negative but more of an FYI - Lucky Savannah doesn't provide much except a couple of basic things for the home - one paper towel roll, a couple trash bags, a bit of toiletries, and some basic kitchen stuff. You will need to bring additional paper towels, trashbags, and definitely coffee filters if you stay and plan to have coffee at the house. We also ended up having to buy dish detergent as there was none provided in the kitchen upstairs but upon checking out, they did provide it in the basement apartment.
Lucky Savannah was a great company to work with - super communicative and transparent, easy to work with, and they make checking in/check out and all house information simple with an easy-to-use app. They do provide the most important items for a stay.
I would definitely recommend the house for anyone visiting or staying in Savannah. You can't get a better area to stay or a more local feel to living in the downtown area.
