"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"We had a great time in Samara! The apartment was a perfect size for our family of 4. Great location - so close to little shops, bakery and restaurants. The apartment and pool area was very clean. The included breakfast was delicious! We always felt very safe and appreciated the entry by code and lock box so we didnā€™t have to carry keys with us. They also assisted us with an amazing turtle egg laying night excursion. Itā€™s a short walk to the beachfront property (where breakfast is served). Beach pictures are a little misleading. Yes, lounge chairs are available but there isnā€™t much room to use them. In front of the building is a surf school that has palapas for rent; meaning you can use the hotels chairs but not directly in front and no shade found. I think they have 1 umbrella to use but one of the other guests was using it. Overall, we loved Samara and loved this place and would definitely stay here again."
