Had a booking confirmation but were told after 5h drive they didn’t have a room and it was ‘resolved’ with Expedia. Expedia ended up compensating but seemed to have been a maintenance issue on Belvedere’s side and bad communication. I highly recommend the hideaway hotel who ‘rescued’ us.

Pool was great with plenty of places to relax. The property was beautiful and well kept. The lady that received us was very friendly and informative. They also have chairs and umbrellas that they allow people to take to the beach. The room was beautiful but the bathroom area had a smell of urine for some reason. The other downside was that the lady working when we arrived said the breakfast was $8 American dollars each, but we were charged 8000 colons by the man who was there at checkout. When I told him it was supposed to be $8 he insisted that I was wrong. I showed him that it said $10 on the Expedia site and told him the woman had said $8, but he said that was an old price from 10 years ago. I paid and left frustrated and somewhat upset.

Michelle was very busy but sweet and happy to help. This hotel is special. nice deep pool in centre. Room was small, low ceilings, inexpensive style drapes. sm fridge and safe. just a fairly small dark room. bathroom tiny but with towels and everything needed. small table and seats out front on tiny patio. the pool area is nice to meet folks and chat. loads of plants and veg around paths which basically create the beautiful surroundings that make you wanna come back!!
