This was our second time staying at this property. It's been over a year since our last stay and I was sure the extremely hard to open sliding glass doors (all three) would have been fixed since our last visit. They haven't. It's almost impossible to open any of them. Not to mention, they were extremely dirty - the glass and tracks. It rained the entire four days we were at this property, starting before we got there. When we walked in the house, both sliding glass doors on the main level were leaking and there were HUGE puddles on the floor. The master bedroom upstairs has a sliding glass door too and it leaked as well. All of the carpet between the bed and door was soaked. I notified the property managers immediately and received no response the entire time we were there and no one showed up to fix it. We had to clean up puddles the whole four days.
The floors on the main level had sand everywhere. The king bed in the master suite downstairs squeaks so bad. Everyone in the house can hear every move you make when getting in or out of bed or even just turning over. The guests in that room stated it was extremely uncomfortable. Same with the pull out couch and double bed upstairs. There isn't enough silverware and dishes for everyone to eat at once. It says it sleeps 11, which is the number of guests in our group. They do not supply enough towels, rags, etc either for the number of guests it's supposed to accommodate. They leave one dishwasher pod. You have to supply everything yourself, even toilet paper. There was a roll in every bathroom but it was really bad quality and wasn't full rolls. Be sure to bring your own laundry detergent, paper towels, dishwasher pods, tp, seasonings, etc. Definitely don't plan on cooking any elaborate meals. Pots and pans are limited. Upon checking out, I contacted the property managers again to inquire about cancelling our trip to this same property in October. After I sent four messages through VRBO, I reached out via email. I finally received a response but no apologies about the leaky doors we had to deal with. With four months left, they refuse to refund our deposit. That's plenty of time left for someone else to book. After spending the amount of money we did and not enjoying ourselves or the house and being frustrated with the property managers for lack of communication, we just don't want to visit again. We're being forced to come back or lose our $1000. Do yourself a favor and book a different property.
