"The room was a nice size room for 4, clean but there wasn't enough bath towels for 4 just 2 and it would have been nicer if there were bigger. They had shampoo and conditioner put it just a small packet but again not enough for 4 people. There's a great store nearby called thr Ocean State Job Lot on 285 Main Street on Buzzards Bay with excellent prices on bath sheet towels $8.99/each. They have great restaurants one called the Pilot House 20 mins away, Loafy Loft with great Vietnamese ice...

"The room was nice. Two clean and comfy queen beds with decent walking room. A Desk, a fridge, microwave and a nice open bathroom. The only thing that let me down was the drain in the tub wouldn't plug to take a bath, the internet was spotty the TV only had cable it was a smart TV to watch streaming or even mirror my phone too. Otherwise the pool was amazing - very clean, big and very warm. It went 3ft, 4ft, and 5ft which was nice also."

"The beds were god awful uncomfortable and the room and hotel needs much updating. The clock was broken in the room. I would not stay there again."

"The room we stayed in should be condemned. Worst room I’ve ever stayed in. I suspected it wasn’t going to be great when I saw rodent traps in the regular carpeted stairwell. There were stains all over our floor that I slept with my shoes on. The bathroom door had been put back on hinges wrong and wouldn’t shut. The room was 77 degrees and despite the air conditioner being set at its lowest temp of 66 degrees the unit powered off and on all night never reaching a comfortable temp to sleep in. If that didn’t stop us from sleeping the beeping smoke detector with bright almost strobe lights flashing throughout the night did. The beds were sagging and terrible. The outlets were loose and couldn’t hold a cord. You have to turn on a “main supply” switch in order to start power to your room at all. The linens had stains on them. We left first thing in the morning grossed out and went home and washed our clothes in hot sanitary r cycle. Paying nearly $300 for this dump should be illegal. Will never stay in Holiday Inn again."

"We had a wonderful stay at John Carver. Parking was always available, close proximity to a convenience store, restaurants, downtown shops. There was a city-wide power outage when we arrived and they were able to keep the wi-fi and amenities working which was fantastic for 3 young boys dying to get in the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. There were renovations occurring so not all areas of the hotel were available but still would come back again."

"this is a beautiful hotel in a nice location. they advertise that they have a pool but the pool has been under construction for 2 years now and we specifically booked it because we wanted a hotel with a pool. also the Wi-Fi was very intermittent. for this reason I only gave it three stars I don't think that a hotel should be allowed to say that they have a pool if they don't and allowed to say they have Wi-Fi and it doesn't work."

"This was a horrible hotel. My husband and I were literally scared to be in our room. The people in the room next to us were screaming until 3:00a.m., banging doors, tv blasting we thought at one point they were breaking into our room. Our phone didn't work so we couldn't call the front desk, we were afraid to leave our room. We requested a smoke free room and the entire hotel smelled of smoke and was not clean. There were no towels in our room when we arrived we had to get them ourself from the front desk. I would not recommend staying at this hotel and if I could get my money back I would. The worst stay ever."
