"This week was my first time staying in Arizona. I chose this hotel because I love unique hotels and art… they have it, everywhere. The property and suite itself is very unique. My two biggest complaints and the reason for my very low score are due to two very major issues. I paid for the most expensive room they offered and with 90° temps the air kept going out. In the middle of the night. Instead of move me they fixed it which works for me… but it happened again the night before I checked out. If you’ve ever had the A/C go out you know it literally just blows hot air. The morning I left I mentioned it to the front desk staff that it went out twice he basically shrugged his shoulders because I was checking out. Didn’t express sympathy or even mention a weak coupon or something he could offer for my inconvenience. Second the toilet stopped working twice. The water would just run. But not long enough for me to need to call maintenance. Additionally, although the room was relatively clean they definitely needed to dust better. It felt and looked grimey. I don’t often leave bad reviews but I had to mention this because it was such an overall disappointment… I was here for my birthday so it definitely put a damper on my stay. "

"Very basic lodging. Bed, AC, refrigerator. Rooms are not the cleanest and lots of sketchy people that stay here. We were asked by multiple women who were begging for money or tried to enter our room"

"The whole resort was sparkling clean, they have much to offer in amenities with several restaurant options, pools etc. We loved the location being close to so many fun activities, spring training games, hiking galore, shopping, etc! Our room was so comfortable! The housekeeping staff was exceptional, stopping daily with clean towels, glassware etc as needed! The only thing we needed that they don’t offer was guest laundry. I highly recommend Talking Stick as your Scottsdale/Phoenix area resort! "

"We chose this hotel because it was affordable and in a good location. However, once we checked in we were very surprised that is had received good reviews. The entire property was in poor condition and not clean or well-maintained - including a murky, green swimming pool that was not useable. We were very disappointed and would never stay there again. "

"Comfortable safe great to be able to bring our dog, please refill doggie bags at stations weve stayed 3x and they are always empty.. don't want to leave a mess on grounds. We bring them now.. "

"This location is wildly different from the other Hilton Garden Inn's in the vicinity, albeit just as expensive. There were limited walkable locations to eat & there was a guest on my floor screaming bloody murder/slamming doors all evening. I was afraid to leave my room. Luckily I stayed at the Scottsdale location for the majority of my trip - I only "slept" one night here due to a flight cancellation. In future, I would head back to Scottsdale before setting foot into this location again. The staff at the hotel were perfectly friendly - this was hopefully a one-off experience. "
