"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "

"Spacious room for 3pax. Convenient location - walkable to city centre. Great view from our room. Underground carpark is great as it was snowing when we visited the area. "

"Vintage hotel in a small, Black Forest village. Room was spacious, carpet was worn, could use some updating and TLC. Staff was great and breakfast was superb. Good parking. Location of the village is some distance from the motorways. "

"Very reasonable cost provided a comfortable stay with a feel of Germany of many decades ago, but with modern conveniences. Breakfast was wonderful and the evening meal we enjoyed there was even better."

"It's a nice hotel with good sized rooms. We were pleasantly surprised to see a small refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, with table, chairs, sofa at no extra cost. The couple who manages this hotel are very friendly as well. It will be nice if they provide the proper tea cups in the rooms, instead of the plastic ones. But overall we were happy with the experience."
