Golden Sands Resort Motel

10/10 Excellent
"Ok, this property is old and the pool and surrounding picnic areas and walkways could use more maintenance, BUT the rooms, while sparse (we were in 308) were very clean and functional. We booked a hotel room but had some dishes, dish soap, knives and spoons which wasn’t expected but was welcome. A coffee pot, fridge with freezer and a microwave. We had plenty of clean linens for two people, the beds were AMAZING & hard, which we enjoyed very much. I suffer from chronic back pain but I *finally* got 4 nights of wonderful sleep at Golden Sands! We had blackout blinds that blacked out the sun 100% in the morning and to top it off, the property was extremely quiet. I haven’t even mentioned that it’s literally steps from the beach, which is the main reason we booked here. All in all an amazing time spent at Golden Sands and we will definitely book again."

"Great location. Right across from the beach. Walking distance to all the main attractions. They are reinvesting in the property to improve it. Stayed with two kids (10 and 13) in a partially updated room with a bunk bed. They joined two old rooms together which allowed for a lot of space. The mattresses were great, even in the bunk bed. We went in the pool to cool off and it was clean and enjoyable. Staff were really friendly at check-in."
