A little smokey
The property itself is well located in the Montmartre for our purposes, with good access in all directions of Montmartre historical sites and interesting markets (Puch Marche), and easy walking distance to good bakeries, grocery stores, laundrymat and restaurants. We had a little difficulty with sticking entry locks on the first day which was very frustrating, but the local Host very quickly sent a capable agent to resolve the problem, and we really appreciated that. The apartment is listed as non-smoking, but there are four apartments all clustered together, and it appears everyone in the other apartments smoked, and I mean constantly, using the small common courtyard as a gathering and smoking area. As the apartment we stayed in is elevated by one level, and the only ventilation is opening the windows to the courtyard, we really didn't enjoy the time when we returned to the apartment because of the constant smoke. We understand this is Paris, so we didn't complain or made an issue, but I would hesitate renting that apartment again for that reason alone.
