"Authentic antique early 20th century building, rustic atmosphere very helpful staff, good breakfast, $ 2-3 cab fare from bus station on the inter American hwy. A/C, modest rooms add to atmosphere very good location for brief stay. Good place to stop if bus ride too long. Real ‘Panama’. Discover the market 1 block away. Comidas for $3."

"We did not have hot water that I could deal with the next day we went on an excursion it was great until we got back to the lodge only to find out that a tree knocked out the power there was no emergency lighting it was pitch black you couldn’t see anything I have an infection in my leg that needs regular bandage change we had to move we still had2 nights left the owner refused to give ma credit we had to relocate in the city and pay another hotel for those nights my advice do not book there how...

"The area has no restaurants or stores within walking distance so we had to eat in the hotel. Tuna was over cooked and took an hour to be served. Don't visit on weekend. No curfew and fellow Panamanian guests up until 4 a.m. with loud music and talking. "

"Close to our lawyers office (applying for immigration) and walking to restaurants. Nice park nearby. Breakfast was ok. Not amazing. Didn’t interact with the staff a lot but they were pleasant enough. Very noisy pipes when anyone ran water or flushed toilet..not sure if it was just our room .."

"Made a reservation through Hotels.com which emailed me the "Confirmed Booking" notice. When we showed up at the hotel refused to honor the reservation and had booked the room to someone else. The manager was Rude and didn't care that we had a "Guaranteed Reservation". HOTELS.COM DID NOTHING TO CORRECT THE ISSUE!"

"Such a great hotel. Has been amazingly restored and has a wonderful courtyard patio and rooftop patio. The best part is it is also connected to the Mahalo restaurant on the ground floor which is great for breakfast (or any meal) and has maybe the best courtyard in the city. "
