"They were under construction.. room was old.. ceiling falling. But new floors. It was clean enough... but not a nice place. I stayed 1 night but found a different place to stay my 2nd night."
"If you’re looking for a resort atmosphere, this isn’t it—and that’s exactly the point. If you want a beautiful, peaceful place to reset, unplug, and escape for a while, you’ve just hit the jackpot.
Every second of our stay was perfect. I read all of the reviews beforehand, so I knew what to expect and came prepared. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
We will absolutely be back—without a single doubt."
"We had a lovely 2 night stay. The owners and host were wonderful. We were so happy to have use of the golf cart and bicycles. The cottage is adorable with beautiful touches all around."

"Staying in a "floating" bungalow was unique. Warning to those with mobility issues: it is not very easy to get up and onto the porch. It was quite a long walk on narrow, floating piers to get to the bungalow we were staying in, then it's a large step up from the floating pier onto the porch, especially during low tide.
Maybe those folks that take the reservations should ask customers if they have mobility issues before making the reservation."
"The hotel is in a cute town that's walkable, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The property is managed like an Airbnb, so no staff were on-site when we checked in or when we left. The check-in process was quick and easy, with the keys left at the front desk. The bathrooms included all the nice amenities like hair care, etc.
The hotel is quaint, and they have a lot to offer -- I had only one complaint. The fire alarm battery in reception was dying so it chirped every few minutes. I called the after-hours contact line at 8:30 pm and explained that it could be heard throughout the hotel (which is an old house). No one came by, and it continued to chirp all night. The good news is, I'm sure the battery has been replaced so you won't have to worry about it!"
"We almost don’t want to leave this review because we’d really prefer everyone else NOT discover this place so it’s available the next time we want to go. But… here we are, doing the right thing.Three friends, dogs, water views, acres and acres of soybean fields, and basically no people. It was glorious."Peaceful, comfortable, beautiful nature getaway. I’ll be returning. You should all stay away" and "Peaceful and convenient getaway. Very well equipped" - LLL & ERThe view is absolutely beautiful, and the property is wonderfully secluded. We took long, peaceful walks along the soybean fields, sat by the water, and thoroughly enjoyed feeling like we had disappeared from civilization for a while. The dogs were equally impressed and would probably give it six stars if VRBO allowed them to have accounts.Inside, the house is adorable, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked, and the owners even left homemade s’mores kits for us, which was such a cute touch and immediately made us feel like someone had planned our grown-up camping trip better than we had.One thing worth knowing: this probably isn’t the place for everyone. It’s truly off the grid, powered by solar with a backup generator, and it is SECLUDED. If your idea of vacation is water, fields, dogs, quiet, stars, s’mores, and not seeing another human unless you invited them… book it.Actually, don’t. We want to go back.Shannon, Laura Lee and Elisabeth"
"The property was beautiful and so relaxing. My family enjoyed relaxing by the dock and appreciated how close it was to grocery stores and the little towns near by. Highly recommend!"
