"Definitely better than my last stay. The smell of the waterpark was improved, the water park itself was nice, and I appreciate when staff are nice enough to be open about certain things. For example, when my Hungry as a Wolf order wasn’t ready, they told me it was because they haven’t had any orders in a while. Despite the inconvenience, I appreciate the communication from the employees. I appreciate how much care the employees of Great Wolf Lodge put into the resort."

"Our unit was fairly clean, but the bathrooms definitely needed some attention. Also, the toilets were very low and the bathroom is very small. Bathtub was extremely slippery. The two bedroom unit was spacious and we had a place to hang out with the other couple we were traveling with and also eat in our unit. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub although the chlorine was a little strong and the pool was not heated as stated. The activities were definitely underwhelming. Overall, it was a convenient location and a good amount to do but property definitely needs to be updated."

"The historical significance of this property is reason alone to visit. George Washington's great grandfather established a plantation there in 1642. While original buildings were burned, the owners have restored according to drawings and records. There's a cemetery on property with graves from 1600s. Attention to service was outstanding and personal."

"We stayed from Friday to Monday. We did not have any service to the room. We asked a lady that was cleaning other rooms for more coffee and shampoo (empty container at the shower) amd she said it was not her room in her list. So, no towels, shampoo or coffee. Very disappointing. Other than that, it is a OK hotel."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! It was truly amazing and felt just like home from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a place that is peaceful, relaxing, and tranquil, this is definitely the place for you! Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we were so sad to leave.We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. "Great place to relax and enjoy a quiet setting which is still close to Yorktown and Williamsburg. Pet friendly with room to walk. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and all appliances. Catesby was a wonderful host and always reachable by phone. Nice porch and outdoor fire pit which would have been used more except that it was August."
