"Nicest hotel in Charleston. Was a short visit but the food and the rooms were impeccable"

"Excellent location - but clearly the hotel has seen better days. There is a lot of wear and tear - some would perhaps feel this was charming. The fitness center smelled awful and I couldn’t be in there for more than a few minutes. The people who worked here were amazing however!"

"Check-in was easy and front desk staff were friendly. The ability to have a made to order breakfast was a great perk that we took full advantage of. The lady helping with breakfast was bright and cheerful each morning. We enjoyed her company. We also enjoyed happy hour each day. A great way to relax after walking all day. Valet staff were super nice and prompt. We arrived early before check in. Our bags were kept safe and car was securely parked while we enjoyed Charleston. Beds and linens were comfy. Hotel is close to all the city has to offer. This was our second stay here and will stay again when visiting Charleston. "

"There was both good and bad about this property. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the wine and cheese social each evening was nice. The room had wallpaper coming off the wall and the shower doorlwas very hard to open and close without scraping the glass causing a loud noise each time. The restaurant was below average and the check-in and check-out process was poor. They sent a pending charge of $3,000 at check-in on a final bill of around $1200. At check-out I had to go and get the luggage rack, carry it up to the sixth floor and load my car without any offer of help from the hotel staff. Finally, when they brought me my car from being valet parked (inside I was told) it was absolutely filthy after being given to them clean. "
