We really enjoyed our stay at the Palmetto over the holidays. The hotel is clean, well appointed, and was beautifully decorated. The breakfast in the morning was a great perk. The selections are limited but the food offered was delicious. We also enjoyed the lobby bar for a nice after dinner cocktail. We found the location to be very convenient and we were able to walk to the market, restaurants, and the waterfront easily. We would stay here again given the opportunity.

This was a pricey stay, but worth it. The convenient downtown location put us in the heart of so much of what classic Charleston has to offer. Our room was small but elegant and the lobby where we ate the breakfast offerings and Carmella’s (right across the street) gelatos, was beautifully decorated and peaceful. We would stay there again!

Negative: Room was in good condition but could hear people in the hall way all the time and from above us and in the walls. Positive: Staff was super friendly. Negative: breakfast is only a couple pastries, and coffee. Positive: The hotel is close to everything (within walking distance) Negative: have to park in a public parking deck or use valet. Only options.
