The room had a school vibe with modern amenities. It was clean. I loved that it was center to everything we wanted to do. The Charleston Market is literally across the street and the French Quarter is within minutes of walking. The breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese, and cookies at night was a special touch. Last time I stayed was 40 years ago, and I felt at home the moment I walked in the lobby to check in..lots of memories, I stayed there at least once a week for at least 5 years until I moved north and almost everything is the same with the exception of some upgrades…..I wish the rest of downtown Charleston retained its charm like The Meeting Street Inn.
