"Unfortunately there was a power outage and we were not able to enjoy any amenities. We had to drag our luggage in and out twice since at check in we were assigned to the conference area building. We’re not able to eat breakfast there which had been included in the price. Just was not a good experience for us."

"The beds are not comfortable. The bedding was only a sheet and a light duvet. The pillows smelled like unwashed hair. The large towels were yellowed. They were nice thick towels. The room was clean. There is no carpet in the room, so I felt like the floor was cleaner than a carpeted room. The lady that checked me in was not welcoming and did not make eye contact. Breakfast was very busy with a travel group having breakfast. They tables were not wiped down between guests. The food was just ok. Typical cheap hotel breakfast. Parking is ample and easy access into the hotel with multiple keyed entrances. The rate for the hotel being in a small tourist town was expensive at $250 a night!!"

"The host was very pleasant and accommodating. There was plenty of parking and the area around the house was beautiful. It was a quiet country area. The house was extremely clean and the host provided everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths, as well as soaps and shampoo. There was a regular coffee pot and a Keurig coffee pot with plenty of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Shipshewana and Middlebury area. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for making your home available to us. We had a great stay."

"Hotel room was clean, breakfast was good, staff very helpful, how-ever if we had known the hotel was under repairs/construction we would have stayed elsewhere. It was not reported that the hotel was being remodeled while we were there either by the hotel or Hotels.com - no floor tiles in areas no wallpaper in others public restrooms were a no - down to a few tables in breakfast area due to work/tools. we had gone to Nebraska so we booked in advance a night going out and night coming back. On return trip a lot of work had been completed but was still under construction."

"No AC. Not broken,just non-existent. Earwigs over bathroom door, plaster bits on bathroom floor, no toilet paper in room, no chairs at all, two throw pillows as sleeping pillows, nothing larger. Dilapidated building, car got scratched up while there, knocking and loud music until around 4AM. TV went on by itself at around 1AM, 2:37AM, and again around 3:30AM, at which point we unplugged it from the wall. There was a mini fridge and microwave, both unplugged, in the room and water on the floor, which was rough-textured linoleum tiling. Bathtub faucet would not shut off all the way. No latch on door. Initially gave us the rwong room keys. You couldn't pay me to stay there again. Bates Motel would be a step up!"
