「Charming B&B! Area is lovely (although it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get as much of a chance to enjoy the location as we would have liked… but it IS breathtaking.) On the bay, lovely walk to town … couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot! 「1901年に建てられた建物で、横浜の異人館に宿泊しているような雰囲気です。5部屋しかなく、夫婦でやれる範囲の人数しか泊めない、暖かい雰囲気のホテルでした。オークランド大学に近く、ダウンタウンも歩いて15-20分くらいです。18世紀の大きなバスタブに浸かって、19世紀のイギリスです。その雰囲気が好きな人にはたまりません。バスタブとトイレは共用という部屋もあります。朝食もご主人が自ら作り、運んでくれますし、おいしい。ロビーでは、夜他の宿泊客と楽しい会話も楽しみました。」

「初めてのニュージーランド、初めてのオークランド。市の中心から離れていても駅の近くの宿に泊まりたいと思い、ここを選びました。駅からは徒歩8分くらい。大きい道沿いに歩いていくだけなので、簡単です。途中、中規模のスーパーマーケットもあるので、そこで食料などを買うこともできました。 ツインルームでお願いしたので、二人で一部屋6000円しないくらい、一人当たり2800円くらいだったので、ある程度の問題は目をつぶろうと思っていましたが、予想と反して、お部屋も清潔、オーナーのKarenさんは穏やかで優しい、Karenさんが集めた調度品もかわいらしいものばかりで、素敵なおうちでした。 またオークランドに行く機会があったら、必ずKarenさんの宿に泊まりたいです！」
