Asakusa Tobu Hotel

"The hotel is well placed in the tourist area of Asakusa, travel options like metro and rail and very close by and it’s pretty easy to get to the main areas of interest in the city. Not tons of extra facilities but frankly 90% of people staying here will be out of the hotel most the day. I would make a special shout out to the housekeeping crew - even their basic room tidy was excellent. The room is well fitted out and the only criticism I had of the hotel was a lack storage (no drawers primarily making emptying suitcase tricky) but that is by the by. For a tourist trip to the city, this hotel is a very good option and I would happily use again and will look out for the brand on next trip to Japan"

Daiichi Hotel Tokyo

"Location was great, less than 5min walk from Shimbashi station. Room was very clean and the daily cleaning service was excellent. The rooms and hotel corridors are a little tied in some areas. The staff at the check-in desk weren’t very friendly but all other staff were very polite. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of Japaneses and western options."
Hotel Gracery Shinjuku

"The room was clean and the amenities were good. However, the Room size is shockingly small. The bed isn’t a King size bed, but rather about 4 feet wide, so not wide enough for 2 Adults to sleep comfortably. There’s barely any space to open a suitcase. The view from the room was good as well. The staff was friendly and helped us with Luggage forwarding and any queries we had. Check-in and check-out were smooth."
Shinjuku Prince Hotel

"1st time staying in Shinjuku. I wanted to be close to the clubs and nightlife action. I had a beautiful view from my room facing the Godzilla hotel. I could also see the Tokyo skytree from a distance. Great place, I would happily stay here again."

"Faucet and bathtub/shower knobs are very hard to turn, and even more so when your hands are soapy."
APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Ekimae Tower

"Staff were helpful, and the check-in/check-out process is seamless for overseas travelers. The room was quite compact, though that was to be expected. Ideal and affordable spot to return to rest. It would have been useful to have an area to access a microwave other than the basement level. Being on the 17th floor made it a bit inconvenient to heat/reheat meals."
