Poor service and cheap hotel

Terrible experience, the room is over 30C in early April!! The hotel staff lied that the whole building's airconditioning does not working, ignored that the cooling system works well in restaurants, lobby, and even the hallway outside the room. They just shut the airconditioning to save money, and lied to their customers. I don't know how they manage to operate the business, it is just not a 5 star hotel.

Great Hotel and Location - Let down by room temp

The location and amenities at this hotel were fantastic. It’s central with great views of the lake and an excellent breakfast fare at the buffet. However we did have some issues to the response we had to the fridge and room temperature. It was unseasonably warm when we visited. Usually during this time it’s 18-22 degrees Celsius but it was 35 degrees this day. We had travelled into Nanjing from Huangshan where it was also 33 degrees. The room when we arrived had the heating set to 29 degrees and the windows were left open. The internal temperature of the room was 32. We tried changing the room temp but the thermostat didn’t change the temperature whatsoever. We spoke to the hotel staff and they advised the the floors are set to a temp and we couldn’t change it and to open the windows which were already open. When we arrived the fridge was not on so we turned it on and changed it to the coolest setting. I travel with medication that requires it to be stored below 4 degrees which hasn’t been a problem this trip as every hotel has had refrigeration. When we called the hotel staff they advised that this was as cold as the fridge would get. They promptly provided ice. Unfortunately due to this the stay itself was not comfortable as the room only dipped under 30 degrees after 9pm. When a storm came through and kept us awake. As mentioned the hotel is great for everything else. Maybe we had an off stay as all other intercontinental experiences have been amazing.
