It’s a beautiful property and the staff made every effort to make our stay super comfortable, warm, and relaxing. Our villa was so cozy and we had the most fun time on the deck. The river flowing right next to us was just a treat and the hot pool was our favorite ! I highly recommend a getaway at Blancaneaux
Professional management and highly qualified stuff. Food is wonderful, location is perfect to visit the different parts of Belize with their greatly informed team.
All of the staff, be they front desk receptionist, servers, hired guides, grounds keepers, stable hands or gardeners could not be more accommodating, welcoming, friendly, proactive, or efficient. The accommodations were as beautiful as they were comfortable, and they fit perfectly into the natural surroundings.
This is an experience of a lifetime! A must if you are into true elegant adventure Blancaneaux is a must. The staff are the secret to this magnificent lodge. They are kind, attentive and proud to work in this amazing hide away in Belize. I recommend highly!!!
Our stay at Blancaneux was wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were met with incredible hospitality. We went with our two adult children in their twenties. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Food was amazing. Best continental breakfast we have ever had. Farm to table dining experience was top notch. Fantastic diversity of dining experiences and great activities without leaving the resort. Bird watching, river tubing, horseback riding, hiking to a waterfall with a gorgeous huge swimming hole, all from our villa! Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for high end eco lodging in Belize.
I don't typically write reviews but I have to hand it to the staff at the Blancaneaux Lodge. Flawless service, kind, friendly and helpful at all times, in every area of the resort. The place is truly magical, and their incredible staff are the secret sauce. The property is top notch, but warm and authentic, not ostentatious or showy. My family felt immediately at home. THANK YOU!
This place is amazing. We stayed for three nights before transferring to San Pedro, and I miss Blancaneaux! We transported by heli and when we were greeted by loving staff with horses and buggy, we were ecstatic!
All three restaurants are delicious and fun, and the bar staff is fantastic!
The property is insanely beautiful and I need to go back just to explore more. We did a couple activities/tours (and the front desk staff is so kind and helpful in arranging that and also so gracious when you mess it up haha), so we were off site half a day at a time, and there is so much more I want to see and do at Blancaneaux
We met a lot of cool people and made a lot of memories. This is one of the best overall experiences I’ve had while traveling. Thank you, new friends in BZ!
Awesome area resort is stunning and enjoyed all amenities. The road I am out is dirt and stone rutted for 15 miles and takes one hour. You can fly in and out kid there if you have the $$.
Food was mediocre to terrible
They couldn’t even make a decent pot of coffee in the morning. The lamb at dinner was like shoe soles and had to be returned. Considering that we were captive audience in this beautiful place, the food really ruined the experience.
This is a beautiful place to stay in the jungle near Belmopan. Service is fantastic - 5 types of mojitos and great food. Little secluded rooms that are very romantic. But beware of the road to get there - when we were there in June 2021 they were doing major works and it took much much longer than expected.
Simply one of the best hotel I’ve ever been to. Staff, service, food, the area, the views. Everything just perfect. The garden is so special, best dinner and best place. We simply loved it.

Property and food is excellent. They need to re-do all the stairs. They don't work and flow well. It is an easy correction but it is all wrong. Amazes me that Mr. Coppola being Italian failed on this when the Romans were the champions of roads and accesses. They set the standards for the next milleniums.
What a great experience this place was. The staff is wonderful, the room is stunning, beauty everywhere you look. Definitely worth the haul up the mountain, and plenty to do once you're up there!
We stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom villa overlooking the creek--the villas are massive and extremely comfortable and quaint. The location is unbelievable--by staying next to the creek/river, you wake up to the sound of the water--extremely soothing. The best part besides location is definitely the STAFF--the most amazing people we have ever met!
Although some people complain about bugs, we did not really experience any--all of the rooms have nets and the bathrooms have insect repellants--I think in the 5 days/4 nights we got maybe 2 mosquito bites between the 3 of us. We did wear a lot of bug spray (which is actually provided for free by the pool if you forget). The pool is great by the way and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
We visited the lodge for my husband's 50th birthday. I was looking for a place to relax and be pampered and we were not disappointed. There were no pictures that give justice to the cabanas and the sheer beauty of our surrounding. At night time, the smell of the sweet grass permeates the cabanas and is the most awesome smell! The service and food were excellent! Our only complaint was that we should have planned to stay longer. This was a complete surprise trip for my husband (he didn't know where we were going until we arrived at the lodge). By the second day, he wanted for us to start planning a return trip with other couples. We definitely plan on returning to combine our stay with Turtle Inn and La Lancha.
So after having heard of Coppola's place years ago, I decided to take my teenage kids over spring break this year. We were there for 4 nights and really loved it. It is truly IN the jungle, which is great, as we live in LA so didn't need just the beach experience in Belize (as we get the beach all year round) It is a beautiful lodge and the people there are truly the best part! We were in C2 cabana -- not one of the big villas, but it was absolutely fine. Still has a great porch/veranda and river view. The pool was lovely, the hot pool so relaxing, and my daughter said the spa was great (she had a facial). As for the dining, there are 3 options -- in the lodge there is restaurant, which is really good, which we ate at a few times. Then in the organic garden there is a family style dinner where you go get a tour of the garden and then they serve you dinner (I think there were maybe 15 or so of us that night). That was great fun and the food was delicious. And, then our last night we dined at the Guatemala restaurant, which is small right next to the pool and we really loved that. Johnny, our waiter was the bomb. Also, we loved Happy Hour . Great drinks. Also, hiking to Big Rock waterfall was worth it -- the waterfall is so beautiful. And, if you can -- swim up into the waterfall where you can stand on the rock and let the water run down on you. It is really magical. Just bring plenty of water with you on the hike, it is hot out there! :-)
