"CONS: I struggled a bit with the dark lighting, not only in the lobby/casino, but also our room. One thing I had a real problem with is the very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the casinos. I understand that people may like to smoke as they are gambling, but it was more the fact that to go to any restaurants, one has to walk through the casinos. I think they need to work on better air purification in this area, or a separation of the area. Beds were too soft....always woke up with a bad back. PROS: All of the employees were very helpful and kind."

"Although an older and more rustic property, it is well maintained. We stay at this property at least once a year and the most recent room we were in had new flooring. The staff is always nice and helpful. There's a restaurant on site that's usually open during limited hours, but they were closed when we checked out during our last visit. When booking, be mindful that there isn't an elevator for general use, but this is a great place to stay if you want to be close to, but out of, the city."

"We stayed three days and we were very happy. We had great accommodations. The room was clean when we needed something. They were very accommodating. I come down and stay at settle West. When I come visit my mother it has always been a good experience."
