"Great location in the heart of Old Montreal next to the Notre-Dame Basilica. Centrally located with easy walking distance to the Old Port and downtown "Centre-Ville". Flawlessly clean room was comfortable and spacious. Valet parking was fast and courteous. Both lunch and breakfast in the Brasserie 701 were okay; staff was prompt and courteous, food was decent. Mid-afternoon drinks on the rooftop terrace was spectacular and memorable. We would highly recommend Hotel Place d'Armes!"

"Eurostar Old Montreal is a very nice hotel centrally located in Old Montreal. Rooms have kitchens, and washer and dryers. It is near many historical attractions and restaurants. The orange subway stations are within a walkable distance. If traveling by car use a parking app such as “clicknpark” to find 24 hour multi-day parking for less expensive rates. Surface lots are more expensive and only have overnight or day rates which are more expensive."

"I don't think 3 stars is appropriate for the hotel. The photos of the lobby are misleading. It is far more run down than it holds itself out to be. The hotel property hasn't been maintained well. There is a terrible smell in the hallways and stains on the carpet, which is tile but they still didn't bother changing it. I would never come back."

"This is probably my 6th or 7th time staying at this hotel and honestly, it seems to get worse with each visit. The incredible staff and convenient location are the main reasons I keep coming back, despite the dated rooms and noticeable stains. Noise is also a constant issue. the doors do little to block sound, and if your room faces Mount Royal the constant traffic noise hard to ignore. Thankfully, this stay didn’t include the endless faucet dripping or wet spots on the floor that I dealt with two weeks ago. After that visit, I was contacted by someone I assume was the manager, Mathieu Dugardin, but after I responded, I never heard back. Overall, the hotel is okay. The positives and negatives more or less balance out, especially if the price is low enough. And just another shout out to the amazing staff!"
