"Upon entering hotel horrible odor all through hallways. Room didn’t smell. When. Checking in with as told no tv and no hot water. Also observed pool was closed. Was told beds was comfortable. They were not and very thinn little blankets. "

"Overnight parking was just $10. That is almost unheard of for any hotel. Room was beautiful. Terrible view but that was ok. "

"Staff was helpful and friendly. I was staying here for business but was also able to have family come and visit. Walking into the lobby, there is a terrific smell. I spent 4 nights and decided to get a larger room with a sofa and mini kitchen. We stay here usually 2 - 3 times a year. They also accept pets for a charge. The only place I found to be somewhat dirty was the elevator carpet. Otherwise the hotel was great!"

"The room was large, clean, and well furnished. We were able to get adjoining rooms with our daughter and her kids for a fun time in Des Moines. We arrived on Friday and we were able to park in the lot next to the hotel. It was only about half full and the spaces were large enough. The only difficulty was figuring out what to enter and where to enter it when we entered the lot the first time. Place the room key card against the flat pad. Don't try to put it in the slot like we did the first time. Of course, it would have been better if parking was not an additional $30 per day."

"We have never stayed in a My Place Hotel before and we were pleasantly surprised! LOVED this place. The front desk was amazingly friendly, beds were super comfortable, and we enjoyed it very much! No continental breakfast but everything else was terrific! Highly recommend."
