「Reception The staff on reception went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We travelled to Braintree to celebrate my 80th birthday as our family is somewhat scattered, with our eldest daughter living in Braintree. We had booked 3 rooms and the wonderful reception staff allowed my daughter access to each room to leave special gifts for us and balloons in my room. There was even a birthday card and prosecco from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with vegetarian...

「Very comfortable room & bed. Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room. Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.」
