"Nice modern decor. Our room had the weirdest shower set up though. Had to exit shower to turn on/off water and adjust temperature. Water was everywhere on the bathroom floor as a result. Other than that it was a very good stay"

Booking was easy.
Staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Room and hotel was clean and well maintained.
My only comment would be the kettle in the room could do with descaling, this put me off abit that I wasn’t able to have my morning coffee."
"For our purposes a perfect hotel, situation and position. Great breakfast, hot or cold. bar is well stocked. Car park huge for hotel. Check in can be a little slow, only one person on to cover bar, reception and kitchen, som you can be hanging around a little. Just be patient. Rooms large enough, clean with good bathroom. Large TV"
"This was our 6th stay at The Essex and we never have any complaints. The rooms are good size and have been recently refurbished. The location is nice and quiet, with a nice walk round the local airfield"
