Occidental Nuevo Vallarta - All Inclusive

"The location itself it’s beautiful it’s in a very nice side of town and the area feels safe and modern. HOWEVER, The hotel itself is on the outdated side. The amenities are outdated and the place lacks cleanliness. I mean the basic needs are there but you can tell that the place doesn’t get deep cleaned nor are they keeping up with maintaining the facilities clean at all times. Some of the outside showers were missing water knobs others simply didn’t work. The staff was okay, they sent me over to the seven floor because I am an elite member with Expedia; thus I got a special welcoming along with other perks like discounts and what not but nothing crazy. I was actually glad they sent me up because the front desk downstairs was hectic and chaotic. Staff wasn’t really welcoming or friendly. The bar was basic, nothing great all alcohol tasted the same. The cups needed to be properly washed the smelled bad. The food surprisingly wasn’t bad, I really enjoyed the variety of foods they had. It’s in fresh and I had a good taste. But the presentation at times was very poor it didn’t give like there was a hygiene protocol being followed. This was mainly in the buffet area. Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back to this place but I think that we got our moneys worth?"

"The property was clean and nice, but it was not as advertised online. The resort mainly catered to local Mexican guests, with all activities, music, and communication only in Spanish, which made us feel excluded as international travelers. We ended up planning activities outside the resort and only returned to sleep. Food and drinks were decent, but the restaurant system was poorly managed. Despite the app showing availability until 9:30 PM, we were often turned away at 7:30 PM because restaurants were already full. Customer service was disappointing. We requested a room with two beds before arrival and were repeatedly told it would be accommodated, but we only received the correct room on the third day after multiple follow-ups. Rooms also lacked basic amenities like toothpaste and lotion. Overall, I would not recommend Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico for international guests."

Hotel Mio Riviera Nayarit - Adults Only

"My experience at a hotel Mio Riviera Nayarit in Mexico was satisfactory. There were one or two exceptional staff members who were very polite and nice. However, the overall communication regarding room service was lacking, as many staff members struggled with English. The food variety was limited, and it took four attempts to receive a pot of coffee. I had to stay at the hotel due to a surgery nearby and was charged extra for having a nurse in my room for only 24 hour care the first night , despite being allowed up to four visitors in that room. Overall, it did not meet my expectations, as I am used to a higher standard of accommodation in a more upscale area like Paradise Village."

"Very nice room and views. Loved the main pool and ocean was easily accessible and nice for swimming. Staff was nice, room service was quick. Only negative was the food was prehistoric ok everywhere and they had barely any Mexican options. Couldn’t even get a quesadilla anywhere or tacos/guac to the room, instead they had things like burgers & chicken wings. Even the Mexican restaurant was unusual options, Italian restaurant was decent and I didn’t try “Silk” (Asian) but friends staying there said that was the best one"
