"Perfect"

"We had an amazing stay from the moment we arrived! We had booked Hotel Augusta as our base as we were running the Lake Garda marathon, which finished at Malcesine. We had a hire car and were able to park up no problem with ample and secure spaces. When checking in, we were given a warm welcome and given full instructions on things like breakfast and accessing the leisure facilities. Onto our room and we had one of the most spectacular balcony views I've ever seen, overlooking the town, the castle, the lake and the cliffs beyond. Everything was incredibly clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The nicest touch was that after explaining that we wouldn't make breakfast on the Sunday as we had to be away early for the marathon, one of the team knocked on our door the evening before with a lovely breakfast spread for the morning to ensure we were well fuelled. It was lovely and completely unexpected, but really appreciated. The indoor and outdoor pools with hot tub were heavenly after the marathon. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, but especially if you're doing the marathon! Thanks again for an amazing stay."

"This is a lovely hotel and in a prime location. I was here on a solo trip for 4 days. it took me two bus journeys to get here including airport bus from Verona airport. But it is very easy to find and is a few minutes walk from bus stops, ferry ports and cable car. The room I was in was small but clean, very basic and dated but as a solo traveller I didnt mind. No hot drink facilities in the room and very small TV with no digital channels. Not a huge problem but can see why it would for most people. The towels in the bathroom are very very thin and frayed - I thought they were pillow cases. The walls too are very thin and could hear the people in the room next to me snoring and chatting quietly. But bed very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers basic breakfast which is ok, hot eggs, bacon and sausages, cold continental and pastries, coffee machine wasn’t that great but did enjoy the English breakfast teas. The hotel also offers 10% discount at the restaurant which I have to say is stunning and was shocked it wasn’t fully booked every night. You’re basically paying for the location but the food is lovely. Would recommend the seafood spaghetti. Was surprised to see a waiter serving with a hoodie on with the hood up, but all staff are so so lovely and extremely helpful. If you’re travelling here alone you will have no worries. "

"Just come back from a lovely stay, beautiful views and very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was very spacious, comfy and clean. The sauna was great with a fantastic view, the hot tub unfortunately was too cold for us but they did explain they had some faults. The staff were really good at responding to any questions. They also provided a free shuttle to the town, they did only have 3 timings to choose from with the latest time being 5.30pm, unfortunately with a small limited menu we decided to eat out most of the nights which meant we did have to walk back in the later evenings or get a taxi. The walk back is very up hill with harsh paths and no lighting which was quite scary after a drink or two! There is a taxi service which the hotel gave us their number, they were quick and it cost around 25 euros. Overall we would definitely be back but would definitely consider hiring a car!"

"Hotel Vega was such a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. The staff instantly won our hearts. You can tell everyone loved Hotel Vega, if they were an employee or guest. The views at breakfast couldn't get any better. We would gladly stay here again on our next vacation to Lake Garda."
