Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena Tours

The building is beautiful but quite outdated. The carpets in the hallway on our floor were very old and stained. Hotel has a direct access door to the big mall resides on its 3rd and 4th floor and extends to the adjacent shopping center. Various food options in the shopping center. The room does not have usb outlet but kept clean. No air vent in bathroom. Ocean view was great. However somehow the cleaning process last pretty long. We checked in around 3pm, until almost 8 pm , the hallway occupied with two cleaning carts, towels, and amenities. There were several unoccupied rooms on our floor had no lights but left the room doors opened as we walked by towards our room. Breakfast was pricey.

The location was incredibly convenient, with plenty of attractions and food spots nearby, including the famous Ramen Alley and Tanukikoji Street (shops, eateries, etc). Downtown Sapporo, Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, and Sapporo Clock Tower were all within reasonable reach. The main frustration was check-in: the tablet repeatedly showed my reservation as “not found” and needed several refreshes before I could check in. I called the customer service number displayed on the tablet, but they hung up while I was trying to ask whether English assistance was available. In the family suite, you need to activate the hot water using the bathroom control panel; clearer instructions would help. It was also unclear whether the bathroom doubled as a clothes dryer. Checkout was unusual but quick: write your departure time beside your room number on a laminated sheet using the provided dry-erase marker. Sheet is located directly in front of the check-in tablet. Marker is mixed in with the pens next to the tablet. Don’t be surprised by the accommodation-tax envelope in your room. Staff calculate the amount owed and write it directly on the envelope, along with your room number. The accompanying sheet explains the tax and how to pay. Put the payment in the envelope and leave it in your room. I recommend taking care of this early rather than waiting until checkout. No room key, you get a key code for your room Aside from those issues, I had no other complaints.

We had a wonderful stay at Randor Hotel Sapporo Prestige. The highlight of our stay was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to assist us, from helping arrange the delivery of a lost item to recommending an excellent Jingisukan restaurant and patiently explaining transportation options in English. We were truly touched by their thoughtfulness and kindness throughout our trip. Their help made our family vacation in Sapporo much more comfortable and memorable. We are sincerely grateful for their outstanding hospitality and would happily recommend this hotel to other travelers. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to Sapporo!
