It was a great stay even for few hours. We got there late and we had to leave early for our flight but everything was in order. Clean, easy access and the welcome kit. I’d definitely come stay there next time I’m in Madrid. Thank you

Good hotel for our family stay. 10 min walk to metro and then 30 mins on metro to zoo and city centre. Hotel is clean and modern and digital check in works well. Room was spacious enough with modern shower, TV and kitchen area. Only negative was we were not told about pre booking parking so arrived to no spaces and had to park in more expensive parking a few streets over. General area is a ok and supermarket is 5 mins walk

I like Cielo Madrid because it’s clean, spacious room , beautiful rooftop .easy communication with staff even they don’t have a front desk in person. It is 1 block from Metro station. Though it’s not in the center of Madrid but it is very accessible with train and bus. If I come back to Madrid I definitely stay here.

Overall the property itself was as described - fit our family well as we had 5 people. Property was clean and maintained. Parking was right across the street - very easy and convenient. Used as a hub for us to make day trips to surrounding cities.

Last minute booking. Didn’t know what to expect, but would say exceeded expectations really. Not in the greatest of areas, but within easy reach of the centre with a metro station within 10 mins walk. Tidy, modern rooms, friendly staff.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was clean but our room smelled like someone had smoked in it and it was cleaned, but there was some residual smell. Other than that it was great! A few minute walk to the subway station, a bakery and several small restaurants even closer than the subway station. The staff was very friendly and the hotel felt secure as the front door to the building was locked behind your hotel room key as well.

Cielo Madrid studios is a 3 star choice. The reception hours are limited so if you get there after hours, the staff will give you a code for the door. It is then up to you to electronically check in and be given your room card. We were initially confused about the process but then found the language tab to get the English version. We stayed 3 days and did not get room service. Would have been nice to get a change of towel. Not sure if this was a point we missed with having to put a sign on the door to do so but couldn’t find anything in the room. The rooms are clean and modern. Bathroom small but functional albeit the fan that continually turned on when you moved. This is not an upmarket area of Madrid. It is marketed as the SOHO of Madrid. We found some gorgeous places to eat about 5 mins away which weren’t the Hungry Jacks or commercial choices. Really good food with attentive staff.

Check in was inconvenient as there is no reception, and the check in machine has a bug that I filled out info twice before it gave me the room key. The unit is clean and modern, albeit tiny. There is no condiments or cooking oil if you are planning to use the kitchen. It is good for single or double occupancy but too small for a family.

Excellent property but FALSE ADVERTISING on Location. Address on booking website shows a Very Central location of Puerta del Sol, the main plaza in Madrid, not the case. This apartment is located WAY southwest of the city. The apartment itself was excellent, very modern and clean. Except for the broken elevator for 2 days. The location has a Subway 7 mins away(Oporto) but DEFINITELY not Puerta del Sol. You're given the exact address 45 mins before 2 pm check in :(

Mixed feeling - Self service that needs a lil more

Property was clean, looked well maintained, provided the basics in the room however it lacked information and support you would need to know when travelling. It is all self serve and they had no checkin or help desk. Our room was meant to be assigned 24hrs prior but ours was assigned a couple hours before we were arriving, if you didnt have wifi, you wouldnt be able to access instructions to get into your room. We had no information on how to get towel and supplies replaced in the room while there. No info on where to go if you need help/if you need your card replaced etc. Self service is great and you randomly run into one of the staff in the mornings but if u dont run into them, you dont know where to get stuff.

The hotel is very nice and modern. It was comfortable and clean. It was conveniently located a short distance from a Metro station. Entrance was via a door code given to you earlier in the day and a code was provided to acquire the room key from a machine. You’re required to authorize 100 euros on your credit card as a deposit against any damage to the room. No money was actually withdrawn from my account. They had lockers to store luggage if needed that required a coin, which was returned when you opened it with the key. Fortunately when we checked in there was someone at the desk to help me in my jet-lagged state to get the room key and deal with the luggage lockers. The two employees we dealt with were very helpful, but often there was no one there.

Very easy check-in and check-out policy. Everything is self service, and since we arrived quite late, we just let the team know through the contact number they provided (very fast responses too). We wanted to leave our bags in the very convenient lockers by the lobby after checking out, and they provided us with a new access code to get back in the building. Room was nice and spacious, though the bed was not as big as what we expected. We went off-season, so it was pretty quiet despite being on the ground floor right next to the street. We were warned in advance that we were being given a wheelchair-accessible room (just the way it turned out, not that we needed this) where the shower area was not fully complete in the realised design. It was quite difficult to keep the water from getting everywhere, but this may be one of the issues they're working on fixing.

Great Hotel Among Locals

For those of you who want a room in the center of it all, this is not the place for you, but it was perfect for us because we like living among the locals and o not mind a short subway ride. I highly recommend CIELO Madrid Studios. The hotel is in a local blue-collar neighborhood with a terrific selection of restaurants, supermarkets, bars, barbershops, nail salons and friendly people. We stayed in the Cuzco room which comes with a kitchenette, ample closet space, a microwave, safe (albeit tiny) couch and comfortable bed. The only correction I would add is better check-in communication. We did NOT receive instructions twenty-four hours in advance as advertised and that made us uneasy. We were lucky enough to be allowed in by a guest and during our six-hour wait was able to use the rear area to work and relax as that area had desks, a bathroom and storage lockers. The hotel is absolutely stringent about prohibiting early check-ins so when we left early we made a point of communicating that we left at 7:00 am and recommended that our room be cleaned first so as to allow an early check-in for a subsequent guest. The hotel should consider allowing early arriving guests entrance to the first floor while they are waiting. All that said, this hotel will be first on our list for our future flights to Madrid.
