"Very welcoming, cottage was warm, cosy and beautifully prepared. David made sure we had everything we needed and provided really helpful directions, guidance and advice on the local area and amenities. The cottage was extremely well-equipped and there was a lovely welcoming pack, which we really appreciated."

"This was the second time that I stayed there, and it was every bit as good as last time.
The cottage is quiet, homely and warm with the great advantage that, unlike so many places, you can control the heating. This along with the very efficient log burner, is a big plus in the winter.
Everything about the place is comforatble - Egyptian cotton bed linen on the most comforatble beds, big sofas to collapse into and great showers and towels.
Highly recommended."

"Thornhill Lodge was very spacious, clean and quiet at night. We enjoyed the layout of the lodge as well as the private courtyard at the back of the property. The location was great for the sites we were visiting during our stay. We appreciated that the host stopped out when we had a few questions. The cons of the lodge were that there is a fairly busy road(during the day) at the front of the lodge that runs through town with some larger trucks during the day. The access drive to the parking at the back of the lodge was crazy narrow and difficult to turn into, even by UK narrow standards. We experienced some issues with the washer/dryer combo at the lodge and did only receive the response from the host to check the manual, however there wasn't a manual for the appliance and we could not find it online as the model number wasn't readily shown. We had counted on doing laundry for clean clothes for the duration of our vacation so this was pretty disappointing. The wifi was not great and the directions appeared to not provide all of the information to improve it. Having never visited Scotland, we were not familiar with some of the other appliances at the lodge and although the listing states to see the manuals at the lodge for assistance, there were few manuals there. We did not contact the host again as the response prior to that had repeatedly been to see the manual or look it up online. "

"My family spent a week at St Michael's. The house is in an excellent location for the local attractions - just 40 mins from Loch Lomond and 15 minutes by car to Stirling.
The view from the house was stunning and the house was very comfortable, spacious and clean."

"I liked that it was in a quaint village. We chose this place because it was economical. We could prepare and have our meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was only 10 miles from Stirling. We had challenges with the refrigerator not closing all the time. We fixed it. The neighbours were helpful with regards to the recycling."
