I loved the building itself. I think if a little more was invested into this incredible beautiful hotel it would be the dream. The problem is carpets are old, tubs need recocked, beds were pretty hard. But the bones are all there. I actually loved the staff.

Very fine Georgian property in the centre of the old town with welcoming and helpful staff. Facilities disappointing, no WiFi in rooms, no fridge, rather tired decorations. Needs some money spent to update a lovely old building. Stirling well recommended for Castle and Old Prison tour, wonderful buildings and lovely green setting.

Everything was fine, my only issues were no wi-fi access in rooms (public areas only) and no USB chargers (not limited to this hotel).

Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff in a great location just 10 minutes walk from the station . WiFi reception was only available in the reception area .

The location is just perfectly in central Stirling. Our room had a view of the Wallace monument! A v short walk gets you to shops, restaurants, train station, bus station, library etc. For us it was luxury, comfy beds, plenyy space, welcoming foyer and people. We were half hour early for check in and it was no problem. Would have like to partake of their 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' s that are organised there

The rooms were of very poor standard. The carpets were stained and threadbare in places. The decor hadn't been updated in a very long time and in places the paper was falling off the ceiling and all of the skirting boards were chipped with big chunks of paint missing. All of the furnishings were dirty, chairs, light shades and the extractor fan in the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody. It was very expensive and I was very disappointed. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Scotland.

Very dated and faded room which was in dire need of updating. (Room 215) Very 80s-esque. Small wall mounted TV, tired, stained and grubby chairs in room. Bathroom was very dated also, but clean. No sockets near bed side which was unusual. Even the hallways / corridors are dark and gloomy with the automatic lights and lack of natural light whilst walking too and from room. Wouldn't stay here again, it'd definitely be premier inn or travel lodge in Stirling in the future.

A disappointing stay. The appearance of the hotel room, was much worse than displayed on the website. The carpets in public areas were threadbare and badly worn. My room was very small and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom was ridiculously small. The windows in my room very broken and didn’t open correctly, so the room was way too hot!! No WiFi on my floor either. Won’t stay here again!! I asked for a room with a view and look in the photos what I got!!

Perfect place to stop over for one night for the recent Radio 2 in the park gig. I was travelling solo so I didn’t really get to check out the amenities as I just needed a bed to stay in for the night. It’s clearly an olde worlde hotel which must have seen lots of swish parties over its time, it’s a little bit dated in areas but tbh I thought it was perfect for what I needed. The room (211) was clean and the bed was comfy and I even had a tiny view of the mountains through a gap in the building! I slept well & enjoyed the tea and coffee. My only downside was that I couldn’t get wi-fi at all in my room. I tried a million times but no luck.. I think the room was in a blackout area, I had to sit on the stairs to ring my dad!! Also, going back down to the car park late at night there was no light in the corridor so I had to feel my way outside! However, I’m not going to end on a negative note. Overall my experience was really positive. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful & the location was right in the middle of Stirling so I’d def recommend it as somewhere to stop over briefly! I’d definitely choose to stay here again when I return to Stirling. Thank you to all the staff. Naomi :)

Checked in on 9th July, first room 103 was smelling of human urine, went and complained, got moved to 356, this room is in the loft area, 2 velux windows with non blackout blinds, couldn't open windows due to noise from main street, room was red hot no air con, was given a small fan that really was no use at all due to high temps on the 2nights stay. No manager would come and speak to me and was given an email on day of check out to make a complaint, the complaint to this day has never been answered to myself. If i could have moved to another hotel in the area for the last night i would have,however the others in the area were fully booked on that night. Staff were rude and not nice to deal with. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone to stay.

Great location, wonderful vibe, fair pricing. The building is very old and has a great atmosphere, incredible lobby bar and the lobby is well decorated, but there is not much for refinements, its a great spot, and would stay again, but dont expect 5 star.
