Bayshore Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great time at the Bayshore. Right on the Grand Traverse Bay. Beach well cared for and combed in the AM. Plenty of loungers, could have used a bit more sitting area with tables for families as the 4-5 tables fill up quickly. We didn't use the indoor pool, but the kids seem to have a great time. Wouldn't get a poo view room if wanting to go to sleep early however. We got stuck in Traverse City due to a cancelled outbound flight and they were able to accommodate us for a couple more days, which was fortunate as there as no vacancy. Everyone there was very helpful about our predicament and had advice for early AM taxi, which we ended up not using due to just renting a car when one became available and driving home. Would highly recommend Bayshore to anyone looking for a relaxing week on Lake Michigan."

"Loved the retro decor and attention to detail. Appreciated bedside tables on either side of bed, as CPAP users it makes life so much easier. Also access to outlets and charging ports on either side of bed was great. The staff were most helpful when we had to check in much later than anticipated. Loved the outside appt earache as well."

"Great place for 3-4 people or a small family. Very clean, great location - close to restaurants, coffee, the beach - and nice having laundry and a kitchen. Was able to bring my dog for a $55 fee, which was worth it. Only down side is parking, though there is an overnight garage a block down, $25/day. Would stay again!"

"We were warmly welcomed and allowed into our room early, which was very nice after a long day of traveling. We were also upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice. The hotel’s front desk, staff were very friendly, helpful, and gave great suggestions. There’s a nice gym and indoor pool, and the restaurant was top-notch. the rooms are very clean, but also very basic and a little dated. But they’re in good shape. Our room faced the street, so there was more street noise than we expected. It was easy to walk into downtown Traverse City and the hotel is pretty close to a park with a beach on Lake Michigan."
