「We stayed here for 3 nights after being on mainland Portugal for a week and it was a nice vacation from our vacation. Good stuff: comfortable beds, view from our room, food and drinks in the bar. Just ok stuff: breakfast buffet, dinner buffet. Not good: jacuzzi smelled and was luke warm.」

「A pleasant hotel with helpful and responsive staff. Some things, like balcony furniture and aspects of the bathroom are showing signs of their age! Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Overall very satisfactory and good value.」

The best thing was the staff here, so kind and hospitable and really went out of their way in a big way to make us feel at home here. Would highly, highly recommend staying here. 「The Hotel Illa is a good budget place in Angra. The rooms were cleaned each day and a good basic breakfast is provided. It is right in the heart of the Old town and close to the Marina. The staff were great! The negatives: No parking, needs some maintenance (peeling paint, rough closing doors etc) Can also be noisy in the mornings with pigeons and sliding furniture and banging doors. Still a good choice if you are not looking a 5*」

「Seven of us stayed in the house for a week after Christmas. The house is clean and very spacious, so there was lots of room for all of us. We made good use of the pool table, foosball table, indoor/outdoor fire places and the outdoor mini-football field. Walter and Priscilla were responsive and helpful hosts. Terceira is a great island, and everything is in easy driving distance. We enjoyed the location of the house, but it is a long walk, about an hour and partly through a more industrial area,...
