"The cabin is a well designed 3br with two up and a giant basement suite that was perfect for the couple with the baby. So here are plusses and minuses for this cabin: Positives: Great setup. Beautiful views. Fire pit area fun. 5-10’ walk to community lake dock and cabin’s kayaks. Good common area. Minuses:If you’re here in deep winter, the heat isn’t quite what it needs to be. It got better when one of our coats fell behind a bench and decorative box and we found out there was another wall heater we didn’t see or know about until our last day. The fireplace downstairs isn’t vented, and should not be used but very sparingly IM, despite being deemed to have safety shutoffs by the owner. WiFi is good most of time, but sporadic, so if needed to do work there, may be issues. Make sure to get instructions for the tv before you go; They were not provided in the cabin as mentioned in the write up. There is only one outdoor trash can, not the two mentioned in the write up, so we had to bring some trash into town and find an unlocked dumpster. I would definitely stay here again in the spring, fall or summer now that I know how the cabin operates. "

"Stayed over Thanksgiving break 2025. Best family trip ever! Cabin has everything you need. Hosts were gracious to have heat on when we arrived and firewood stocked. We took full advantage of the fireplace round the clock while we were there in 30 degree weather. Grabbed a great steak for the grill from Meat and Fish in Cashiers. Ate at Happ’s and The Local.Rode horses at Arrowmont. Hiked High Falls. Fished the dock- fished the public access from the cabin up to Tuckasegee. Cut down a Christmas tree at the farm across the road. Couldn’t have asked for better. Coffee drinkers: no filters necessary! Mesh filter in coffee maker. I recommend the Pisgah Roasters ground coffee you can find in town. Yes the steps are a lot but they didn’t stop us at all. We drove in a 4x4 diesel and the driveway pull in was tight- tip: go to the second driveway entrance and make a 2-3 point turn in. "

"We stayed here with my family, my parents and my brother's family. We were a large group, but we had lots of room. My favorite spot was drinking coffee in the morning with a fire in pavilion. Great house. Thank you"

"This home is amazing and can easily accommodate a large family gathering. Comfort, comfort, comfort! We could not get the pilot light lit in the inside fireplace but were able to have a fire in the outdoor fire ring on the deck. At one point we had 9 cars in the driveway with no trouble at all but we did have to jockey them around a bit. Everyone enjoyed the home, the views, the location, etc. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. The kitchen is stocked with any gadget or small appliance you could ever need except a cheese grater. Better than any luxury hotel sans the room service, of course. Enjoy your stay!"

"House was great. Clean, comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Only issue we had was tvs. Did not know streaming option. Wound up using our own. Should leave instructions. Overall we loved the house. "
