With so many options on hotels in the area, the Sonesta Silicone Valley on Barber Lane, is a hotel that keeps you wanting to return. The attention to detail and hospitality is hands down the best you'll find in the San Jose and Milpitas area. Close to everything you might want to go see and visit, plus has an exceptional restaurant with top quality food and a great selection of desserts to cure that sweet tooth. The bartender at restaurant Buu is fun to talk to and very Rooms are always clean and tidy. No smoke or sewer smell that you might fine in other hotels. This is a huge plus in my book. Love the walk-in showers that are very spacious and hot water almost on demand when you turn on the faucet. The shower products are very nice to have in the shower as well. The small store near the front desk is extremely convenient if you forget something from home. Great little snacks plus sandwiches and drinks that are great if you come in after restaurant/bar closes. Front desk Manager Renee and Assistant Manager Cassandra are definitely a huge asset to this hotel. They take customer service to another level.

While the property itself is great (clean, quiet, good amenity), communication and management is poor. We were given a code to a wrong room in the Latch app as they re-assigned us to a new room on the day of check-in but didn’t update in their system properly. We stepped in a room that was clearly occupied! What’s worse was we were emailed that all staff would be on Thanksgiving break and we should call some back up phone number, but the back up person clearly belongs to a different firm and was not sure how to handle this and told us there is a chance nobody would be given it’s night before Thanksgiving (so very stressful for us after a long day of driving). And even more funny was we tried to call the original number after all, and they were actually not on break at all! They were indeed able to help. It seems the property is subcontracted through many firms and between each layer there is some communication barrier. Too many miscommunication and mismanagement made an otherwise wonderful stay stressful.

Clean room, great restaurant with bar. Easy walking distance to Levi stadium.
