Loved the town of Karatsu- little side streets were so interesting- watch the flower n fresh produce set up every morning. Ride bike to beach/castle area esp on a Sunday. Favorite treat was tasting Saga beef at CARAVAN殺

If you're spending some time in Hamasaki, Nijino Matsubara and Genkai Quasi-National Park are top sights worth seeing.

We had a memorable stay in Fukuoka and the hotel experience plays a large part in it. The rooms are modern, big and clean. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Hakata station. Karatsu offers variety of activities. We have enjoyed visiting famous potters and “Tanada” the layers of rice fields on ocean hillside.
