We loved the experience of slippers on arrival, yukata robe for dinner, futons transforming our tatami room to a bedroom, traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. "What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. "This is an older, but well-maintained property. The rooms are much bigger and better equipped than the equivalently-priced business or tourist hotel. No restaurant, but very reasonably priced meals can be ordered in the room, mainly through a Japanese-only TV system. Staff were very helpful with extra towels, parking issues, and meals were delivered punctually at the requested time. Drawback: absolutely no view of anything, as all windows are curtained and shuttered. It helps to know the custom...
