The mattress felt like a box spring and was very hard, the walls were stained and the wallpaper was ripping in some areas, the walls were thin so you can easily here rooms beside you talking, on top of the fridge and desk there was dust and it looked like that hadn’t been wiped down in a while and my rooms floor had a black spot stains. I don’t think it was worth the price and I would rather spend a little more next time to get a better...

"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"It was a nice Japanes experience with the futon on the floor. Only two points negative. There was no towels for the shower unless you rented it for 200 yen. Breakfast was only croissants with coffee, juice,butter and jam. "

"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. "Great location, just a short walk from the station. It was very convenient for visiting Matsumoto Castle and other nearby sights. The bathroom was spotless, and the rates were affordable. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Matsumoto."
