" Stars – If I Could Give Zero or Even Minus, I Would I had a reservation at Quality Inn & Suites - Toronto West for February 19th, booked through Expedia. A few days before my trip, my father passed away. Because of this sudden and heartbreaking loss, there was absolutely no way I could travel. I was grieving and handling family matters, and simply was not in any mental or emotional state to take a flight. I reached out to both the hotel and Expedia explaining the situation and hoping for some level of understanding or compassion. I wasn’t even demanding a full refund—a partial refund, credit, or any kind of accommodation would have shown basic humanity. Instead, I was told nothing could be done. No help, no flexibility, and not even a simple message of sympathy. The response felt cold and dismissive despite the circumstances. This experience was extremely upsetting. When someone explains that a parent has just passed away, the least a company can do is show some empathy. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. If I could give this place zero stars—or even negative stars—I absolutely would. Because of how this was handled, I strongly advise people to think twice before booking here or using Expedia, especially if there’s any chance plans may change due to real-life emergencies. I am still calling on both the hotel and Expedia to rectify this situation and provide a refund, and until this is resolved I will continue sharing my experience so others are aware"

"Very very comfortable room, good break fast. Airport shuttle is a nice minivan, gym is small but fine for one day or two,will go back for sure "

"Staff left us to deal with our five large pieces of luggage stating that "a guest probably took the trollies and maybe they'll bring them down, maybe not" they said they would store our luggage in a room and proceeded not to assist at all. In the morning they opened the room where our bags were and left me despite being obviously handicapped and walking with a crutch to retrieve our luggage and transfer it to the airport shuttle. I'd specifically booked a room with a walk-in shower due to my medical issues and we were given a room with a tub. I attempted to call the desk from the room and had to go back down to the lobby as the staff did not answer. When they switched our room to an accessible one the toilet was not a handicapped version as it was quite low and difficult to use. The staff seemed generally disinterested in doing anything to assist us, even after explaining that we'd just packed up our life in Qatar in just right hours and had been evacuated. My wife even apologized for my being annoyed despite my disability, obvious pain as well as having already explained our difficult evacuation, sixteen hour flight, and not having slept more than four hours in the previous days. At least the shuttle driver assisted in lifting our luggage onto the bus."
