"This place is beautiful. Very comfortable. Location is convenient, we walked with our suitcases to & from the Amsterdam Central Station. Beautiful views from the window along the canal. The property manager was very knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations for restaurants and grocery store, etc. Note: Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!"

"Who wouldn’t want to stay in a real houseboat in Amsterdam….seriously? We so enjoyed our stay there. Out your living room window were all kinds of ducks swimming by. Nature is all around you. The area is very quiet at night which was what we wanted. Each evening, we sat around the kitchen table with wine, and charcuterie, sharing photos, and planning the next days’ activities. "We enjoyed the location tremendously; and, staying on the boat added a charming ambiance to our Amsterdam experience. On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. Floors covered with throw rugs that all overlap; the walls and ceilings covered with fabric that has been stapled on. And, used toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet. So, if you don't mind dealing with all the oddities, go...

Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed.
